Social media causes many contraversies in our society. Media websites such as facebook and twitter are considered to have ways of bullying, stalking, and other drama. Many relationships break up over what is posted or seen online. Just recently in the news a father shot at his daughters laptop because of what she was posting online. There was a mixture of different emotions that occured because of this event. Inncidents such as this are caused by these social media sites.

One fascinating aspect that cannot be overlooked is the power social networking sites have over people. If a bill was made that twitter opposed strongly enough, they could close the website saying they would only reopen the site if the bill was eliminated. Immediately everyone who used twitter constantly would feel opposed to the bill and people who may never participate or don't care about politics would have a reason to call their representative and complain.
